here are three photos from the very beginning of july, such a very long time ago, it feels like.
les, always stalking something down by the water.
this is a beautiful new tiny tree i bought on impulse. it’s called a Duranta, and i just read on wikipedia that although it is cultivated in some places and attracts butterflies and hummingbirds, it’s classified as an environmental weed in australia, south africa and china. it’s considered invasive in hawaii, fiji and french polynesia.
the flowers are so lovely! it’s hard to imagine it being an environmental weed.
that is all for now.
ok then,
mrs. seeing the end of july not so far in the distance hughes.
Just read your guest post over on Tanja’s site – great! Nice to see folk getting about – I reckon you’ve seen bits of Britain that most of the population haven’t visited!
thanks so much for reading, mike! my husband and i have taken some beautiful trips in some fairly remote areas of britain, and i hope we get the chance to see even more of them.
