…is how the month is going. may 15th??!!! already??!!! it’s been busy, and i don’t see it letting up anytime soon.
two days ago i went out to buy flowers for JUST TWO PLANTERS, and ended up with a huge, HUGE amount of lovely flowers. but then i got them all planted yesterday! except for a few that need to go down at the dock, and i don’t wanna think about that dock area right now because there’s so much weeding and trimming and stuff to be done down there that it’s overwhelming.
today, i’m all about POWER-WASHING THE DECK, which is something i always relish being done with. when i’m finished, i can arrange all the tables and chairs and most importantly, the flowers out there on the deck, and i can bring the flowers out from inside the dining room, and the ones that are now sitting on the little deck off the bedroom and it’ll be fabulous!
but first, gotta power wash.
but first, my darling les, who was happy to lie quietly under the bush for a little while during our walk:

such a beautiful night.

i don’t know how i managed to spot this little guy hanging out on a chair on the deck. so cute! when i carried flowers out onto the back deck a couple weeks ago, i spotted a tiny frog amongst some geraniums, and was amazed that it had lived there all winter, in our hot tub room. i wonder if this is the same guy? i’ll never know.

when mom and i were in chicago, kevin spotted many geese and goslings, but he wasn’t able to get close enough to get a good picture. he sent me a few pictures that might have had geese in them, but i’ll never know. here you can see two geese with some goslings, but the other photos had FIFTEEN little guys, wouldn’t that be something? i haven’t seen any goslings myself this year so far. there is a robin in the smoke tree right in front of the door, sitting on her nest, and it worries me a little because of our crazy kitties. plus i feel that i’m disturbing her whenever i open the front door.

we bought some hiking shoes, and chester felt that this tiny box was the perfect fit.

hahaha!

i’ve probably posted a million photos just like this, but I CAN’T HELP IT!

two of our big re-blooming lilacs. i have another one that’s being eaten by the dang deer, but hopefully i’ve sprayed enough anti-deer spray on it so it won’t be a deer snack anymore.

darling kitty!!!

i have many photos and videos of our trip to chicago, which will be forthcoming. there are all kinds of rain chances in the next few days, so maybe i won’t be outside running around like a crazy person all the time.
ok then, have a great friday,
mrs. g. hughes.
