last night we went to the fox theater in st. louis to see the flight of the conchords. it’s a band comprised of two guys, brett and jermaine, and we found out about them on the HBO series “flight of the conchords,” which gets funnier every time we watch it. the guys play all kinds of highly entertaining songs. here’s what wikipedia says about them:
Flight of the Conchords is a Grammy Award-winning New Zealand comedy duo composed of Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement. Billing themselves as “Formerly New Zealand’s fourth most popular guitar-based digi-bongo accapella-rap-funk-comedy folk duo”,[1] the group uses a combination of witty observation, characterisation and acoustic folk guitars. The duo’s comedy and music became the basis of a BBC radio series and then an American television series, which premiered in 2007, also called Flight of the Conchords.
i suggest you check out some of their music on myspace, that link is http://www.myspace.com/conchords. also you should check out the concert dates, because they’ll probably be at a venue near you. in denver, for example.
my favorite song is “business time,” although “foux de fafa” is also great, as are all of the songs.
a good time was had by all. during the concert i was wishing i’d bought a t-shirt, but on the other hand, do i really need another t-shirt?
ok then,
friday morning grace.
