…and I’m just too busy.
Here’s little Sweetie, enjoying the round-a-round. This one used to belong to Mom’s cat Hobbs, and the kitties are in love with it. Somebody is usually sprawled on top of it. We had another one up in Pumpkin’s suite but he never had much interest so I put it in the garage for the garage kitties and they love scratching their claws on it, and also sitting/lying on it. Cats Cats Cats.
I looked out one evening and a duck was sashaying down Amy and Jim’s driveway. Nature everywhere…today I looked out and a half-dozen geese were parading in between our houses.
June 30th, Randy’s birthday, Happy Birthday Randy! A good time was had by all.
OK, but now the end of July looms. I keep checking things off my “Spring 2024” list on my phone. I think I changed it to “Summer 2024” to feel better about not completing it. But at least I did use up all 30 bags of mulch. I could have used a few more, or really, probably a dozen more, around the ginormous patch of hostas in the fenced yard but if I was going to put the mulch down it had to have been when the hostas were small in the spring, not gigantic and crowding each other out like they are now. I don’t know what people do with their hostas so they’re not out of control but I’m not going to worry about that right now.
I’ve also been battling the insidious chameleon plants, and I think I’m kind of keeping them from going completely crazy. We were walking down by our wildflower garden the other day and I spotted several very big chameleon plants growing there but I took care of them, for now anyway. I know their horrible tentacle roots have spread all around, but I am sort of winning the chameleon plant battle.
I hope you’re having a good summer. The weather has been decent around here for a while and will be for a few more days but then it’s going to be hot hot hot again. Cause it’ll be August lickety split.
Ok then,
Mrs. H.
