not that i’m concerned about this candy. here’s the recall notice that kevin sent me:
There is a new warning put out by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency….Sherwood brand Pirate’s Gold Milk Chocolate coins are being recalled due to the fact that they contain Melamine, the ingredient in milk products that has caused many infant deaths in China. Check your children’s Halloween candy (the coins wrapped in the shiny gold foil).

i would NEVER EVER buy coins wraped in shiny gold foil because they’re mostly wax. apparently now wax and melamine. not a tasty combination.
ok, i’m really really trying not to continue to obsess myself into a frenzy about the election, but i must share this story with you. kathleen parker mentioned the story in her column in today’s paper; it’s a very long piece about john mccain, written for the new york times magazine.
one especially fascinating thing about it is how it makes you realize how much a politician is completely shaped and molded by all the people surrounding him. or her.
like i said, it’s pretty long, but really good.
The Making (and Remaking) of McCain
i have to go back to decorating now. i was going to give an hour and a half massage, but the guy appears to have stood me up. luckily i have plenty to do right now.
ok then, hang in there because monday’s almost over,
grace
