that’s the NUMBER OF CHRISTMAS COOKIES I’VE EATEN TODAY.  YEA!!! FOR ME!

as opposed to yesterday.

i ended up making 10 full-sugar-and-butter kinds, mostly for dad, but of course others also enjoyed them.  i made kevin five kinds of low sugar-low-fat cookies.

yesterday i realized i hadn’t even SAMPLED a few of them.  so i did, and i sampled some more and all of a sudden it dawned on me that I JUST ATE SIX COOKIES.  mmm, chocolate bourbon balls.  chocolate on the outside, a mixture of butter, sugar, pecans and bourbon inside.  just writing this makes me want to go get one right now…RESIST, GRACE, RESIST!

luckily i’m feeling way too lazy to go out to the screened porch to get one.

last night i tried one of the seven-layer bars, those easy to make things consisting of graham crackers, butter, chocolate and butterscotch chips, coconut, nuts and condensed milk.  i decided they’re just too sweet.  NOTHING IS EVER TOO SWEET FOR ME.  whenever somebody eats a piece of fudge and they say “wow, that’s too sweet,” i’m always all like BRING IT ON.  but the seven layer bars, too sweet.   but others LOVE LOVE LOVE them.

i had a frosted sugar cookie even though OF COURSE I ALREADY KNOW WHAT THEY TASTE LIKE.  buttery sugary goodness.  extra butter in the frosting just because i felt like it.  i had two delicious chocolate bourbon balls, and yeah, they are kind of over-the-top rich and sweet but OH SO GOOD.

i ate a lebkuchen because i can’t figure out why nobody is eating them.  well, SOMEBODY is eating them; they’re almost gone, but that somebody is actually kevin, even though they are NOT low sugar-low-fat.  he realizes, though, that they are very delicious.

i had a wedding cake, also butter and pecans, but no chocolate or bourbon.  they are quite delicious.

i had a little bit of a praline, also VERY VERY SWEET.  i could definitely eat one or thirteen right now.

i didn’t eat any delicious peanut butter blossoms because they’re frozen THANK GOD, and i would have had to have gotten one out of the freezer and microwaved it for a while and that seemed like WAY too much work.

i have many, many photos plus a couple videos to share with you but i’m also feeling too lazy to select and crop and post them right now.  tomorrow, tomorrow.

today we saw “harry potter” for the second time and i am very happy that this time i didn’t obsess about all the stuff they left out; i just focused on enjoying the movie.  and I LOVE IT.  maybe i’ll go back one more time before it leaves the theater.

i have now seen the trailer for “the green hornet” approximately one million times.  from what i’ve gleaned from the trailer, this is my question:  why is kato the sidekick, and not the main guy?  he appears to have made all the cool weaponry, plus he tricked out the cars, plus he knows the martial arts – so what, exactly, does seth rogan, mr. hornet, bring to the table?  that is my Very Important Question for the day.

ok.

mrs. week between xmas and new year’s hughes.
