i just read about the state dinner they’re having at the white house tonight, right this very moment, probably…and i just want to know why they’re having it in a tent. is the white house being cleaned? are there no free rooms?
i’m sure there is a perfectly logical explanation, but it wasn’t mentioned in the article. the delicious food was described, however, and it makes me want to go to our one indian restaurant that we have here in springfield.
tonight i’m realizing that i made a promise to myself to finish posting those scotland photos by thanksgiving, and thanksgiving is really really really COMING RIGHT UP now!
i’ve been taking time to print out some of the photos and i’ve put several of them up on my walls. if you’ve ever been to our house, you’d know that there is not a huge amount of empty wall space. i took down quite a few photos from our austria bike trip in order to put up the ones from scotland.
so much busy-ness here in the hughes household tonight.
a friend, david chilton, e-mailed me about those mystery cars in the photos i posted of the transport museum in glasgow. this is what he said, “The light blue car is an early 60s Ford Anglia with a radical (for then) reverse sloped back window. ”
so there you go. why has kevin not posted anything about what the cars are? surely he knows, doesn’t he? maybe he has stopped reading my website? highly unlikely. too busy? no, not usually…except he has been gone all the livelong day, helping his friend wayne lay tile in his basement.
that is all for tuesday night, unless i get inspired to suddenly post some more of those photos.
