he continues to lie next to me. the vet told amy that his thyroid level is low. i looked this up online and it’s called hypothiroidism and the good news is that it can be treated with drugs. jim is at the vet right now picking up the drugs for shadow, so hopefully he’ll be feeling better soon.
because it’s a little bit heartbreaking sitting here all day watching him look so very sad.

Poor, poor Shadow. That has to be the saddest photo I have seen in quite a while. I hope the medicine gets to work fast on the little guy! best wishes for a speedy recovery, Janet (and dogs- Gus, Homer and Sarah.)
