We kept our boats in the water longer than we’d ever done and didn’t start taking them out til Monday November 8th.
We’d taken all the boats to the fairgrounds in New Berlin to be stored, but last year we bought the fancy Navigloo boat cover for my boat and that worked well. We convinced Glenn to store his sailboat at our house, because it was much more convenient.
His was the first boat to come out. Kevin and Glenn spent a lot of time taking down the sail and all the other boat-related stuff, while Mom and I hung out and took pictures. It was a beautiful sunny day.

Me, hard at work! I guess I had that giant glove on in order to help take down the sail.

Mom, ready to help!

It went smoothly with little trouble – well, no trouble at all for me since I was mostly just standing around – then Glenn, Mom and I motored over to the boat launch. What a great day, with the white pelicans swimming around us.

Kevin pulled the boat out of the water with his truck and finagled all the lines and everything.

A couple of hours and it was all done.
Easy Peasy.
But that was Monday. Things got more interesting on Tuesday…
Ok then,
Mrs. I’m pretty sure I see spring off in the distance Hughes.
