the beautiful flowers from kevin..

in anticipating of eating all of the chocolates that kevin gave me, plus any more i might receive from randy, i took mollie running yesterday morning even though the snow was pretty darn deep.

i took some pictures but most of them looked bad because of the big brown dot.

here’s me and mollie ready to go out.  notice my fashionable head gear – a white ball cap with a stocking cap over it.  nice.  mollie was pacing around saying WHY DON’T WE HURRY UP AND GO ALREADY???!!!

we got to the spencer house and mollie had to stop and sniff in a hole for a while.

as we ran back home, there was a beer can on the side of the road…it looked like it had been freshly-thrown from a car, or maybe a pickup truck.  did somebody have a beer on valentine’s morning, to gather up the courage to propose to somebody?  or were they rejected?  or despondent because they have no valentine?

i’m very happy to report that i DID NOT EAT ALL THE VALENTINE CHOCOLATES YESTERDAY.  this is some kind of record for me.  i only had TWO, being the epitome of restraint.

plus i didn’t get any chocolates from randy because it started snowing a lot and he didn’t come over and i wasn’t about to leave the house even though i’d spent a huge portion of the day on saturday making and decorating many many delicious sugar cookie hearts.

this morning there was a good three more inches on top of the other snow and so no running for me.  but kevin walked to his class, but then he was tired today because of all that trudging through the very high snow.

it looks like mollie is going to have to take a break from getting any exercise, unless somehow i could get her into the mall to walk without anybody noticing she’s a dog…

last night the raccoon was out on the deck, calmly snarfing up the bird food.  mollie was sleeping in her bed near the window, but for some reason she just didn’t sense the raccoon’s presence.  i quietly turned on the light on the deck and started taking pictures.

he was so cute!  and mollie continued to sleep…eventually kevin gave her a treat and she happily ate it, as the raccoon continued to eat.  he was there for at least a half hour.  after he’d long gone, mollie jumped up on the chair and stood there looking for him, then laid down still watching out the window.

she missed him.

later i will post the CUTE RACCOON PHOTOS.

ok then,

monday grace.
