Sometimes Kevin and I go to Mom’s house to watch TV, but mostly to hang out with Pumpkin who loves Kevin best of all.

We celebrated Mom’s birthday in March and she got these two mugs, among many other lovely gifts.

Such a sweet kitty, aptly named.

Riley, living the life of.

Twice in March, Kevin and I ttended performances at the Performing Arts Center and it was fun to walk through the field to get there. The first week it was a Symphony performance of Harry Potter music and it was kind of chilly and we were pressed for time, so no photos.
But the second time, a week later, we saw the fabulous blues artist Keb ‘Mo. The weather was nicer and we were able to enjoy a more leisurely ramble across the field.

So many deer!

Spot is always happy to inspect the boat when I take him for a walk. We haven’t done it so much lately partly because there are crowds of goslings in the yard.

Such a happy kitty!

And that’s about all the excitement for March, as we thunder along into May. It’s a little unseasonably chilly today, so I’m trying to get a few things done around the house.
And actually, I think I’ll go out and tackle the rampant burgeoning weeds in the fenced yard because when I was out there the other day I felt a bit overwhelmed and anxious. Maybe if I make a little dent int the vast amount of weeds that need to be pulled and I rake a bit of the many leaves and even spread a little mulch, I’ll calm down about all that.
I mean, really, us and the cats are the only people to even see the fenced yard, except when guests might look over at it from the deck, so why should I even worry about it? Because I don’t want it to be overcome with weeds, and I enjoy sitting out there on the swing. When it’s not too hot and the mosquitos aren’t swarming me, of course.
And then also there are the mountains of leaves/weeds down at the shore, not to mention he same around the outside of the fenced yard and on the side. Whew.
Ok then,
