today was very busy. very very busy. many things accomplished.

did i ever tell you about the mouse face that i stepped on? i think it was about a month ago, maybe. maybe longer, time is hard to pin down these days. anyway, i thought i stepped on one of those hard dried-up flower pieces on the living room floor (not that there are any dried-up flower pieces there, ever), and i picked it up and it was a MOUSE FACE. not the whole head, just the face part. it was HORRIFYING.

i thought i’d mentioned this before.

anyway, after a busy day i was sitting on the couch with honey the cat. she is very very independent and generally doesn’t want to sit next to me, but tonight she was feeling affectionate and was lying there purring.

and i glanced over, and winne the other cat was nonchalantly walking past, carrying A DEAD MOUSE in his mouth.

at least it was dead?

i followed him into the office and turned on the light and he looked up at me. “i prefer mood lighting for my mouse snack” he seemed to be saying. i turned off the light and called kevin who is working and he seemed to think it was FUNNY.

SOMEBODY NEEDS TO TAKE OUT THAT MOUSE. IT’S DEFINITELY NOT MY JOB.

even though it is, technically, my cat.

but now it’s BOTH of ours cats. co-habitating, soon to be married.

COME HOME AND GET RID OF THIS MOUSE.

i watched as honey ventured into the office. i think she’s eating it right now. winnie seemed to have lost interest, or maybe he brought it in for her. a special treat.

now she will eat it, except for the face, and once again i’m going to find a MOUSE FACE SOMEWHERE IN THE HOUSE.

at least this time i’ll be prepared and won’t PICK IT UP.

ok then,

grace living in the jungle.
