our friends gerrick and janice got married two days before christmas. janice is ALL ABOUT CHRISTMAS; will having her anniversary just two days before xmas detract from the date? maybe they did it because it’s just one more fantastic reason to celebrate the season.
they got married at the court house and we went out for a celebratory lunch afterwards at mariah’s. here’s gerrick, delighted with the fancy 33 year-old scotch that mariah’s owner, sam, gave him. he’s delighted about being married, too.
here’s gerrick’s daughter alex, who has a MUCH MUCH FANCIER camera than mine.
every time i tried to take a picture of the happy couple, gerrick kept blocking janice’s entire face. i’ve decided that this is NOT something that doesn’t bode well for them. gerrick just has big hands and janice is kind of short.
i love this picture.
it was a mighty long lunch, and a good time was had by all. after that they had to go to her dad’s house for about their eighth or ninth christmas celebration.
our christmas day was more low-key.
