ahhh, friday…it was almost 50 degrees on friday. we took mollie, noodle and numie for a walk on the chatham trail, over onto the mountain bike trail that leads off it. everybody had a fabulous time, especially noodle.
noodle feels like he’s part of mollie’s pack, and he has to excitedly explore every little place where mollie stops to dig.

noodle and numie on the mountain bike trail.

kevin, with numie waaaay off to the side there on the leash. we put noodle on the extendo-leash, and kevin hooked the other one to numie’s leash so he could catch up with the other dogs. numie was very happy about this, even though he’s much more uncertain about the greatness of going for a walk in the wilderness. he looked nervous a lot of the time, like somebody was going to jump him at any time.

i thought this was noodle and numie, but it’s just noodle and i don’t even know how that’s possible…he must be mid-r0ll, his very favorite thing.

it was a great day, a long walk.
yesterday not such a nice day, and i spent a lot of time baking cookies. but today…today…it snowed…and snowed…and blew a lot…and snowed some more.
*sigh*
is kevin happy about these piles of snow?
i’ve been baking more cookies, plus i had to keep going out and feeding the poor little birds, and of course i took a bunch of pictures. tomorrow i will post them. i only went outside today to feed the birds, and i hope that’s the only reason i’ll have for going out tomorrow, too.
ok then,
mrs. deep-winter grace hughes.

I confess, I DO like the snow we now have – although I could do without the 5*F temps…. I am happy to stay inside doing leatherwork and playing piano and adoring the snow through the windows. I almost managed to stay inside ALL DAY Sunday, but we had family over for supper, and when I came upstairs from the basement, it struck me that I’d better shovel the walk and driveway so Paw wouldn’t fall and break both wrists again. Mischief managed….
really, mischief managed? it was great that you shoveled…but everybody was already inside eating dinner! but you did ensure that he wouldn’t slip leaving the house.
