It was chilly and windy on Monday in Florida, as expected. We had a leisurely morning enjoying the lanai overlooking the pool.

And we finally managed to get into the car to go to the beach at the crack of 1:23.

We headed to the Englewood beach, which was completely deserted. Here’s a picture of the almost-empty parking lot, which had previously been jammed full.

I decided to head back to Stump Pass Beach, where we’d waited in line a couple of days before. This time not only was there no line, but this parking lot was also almost empty. There were almost no people on the beach, and I loved to watch the crashing waves. Here’s a short video of them.

Yay!

More waves.

Cute little sandpipers.

Because it was so windy and chilly, Mom sat in the car while I dashed up and down the beach taking videos. I’d finally had my fill, so we headed up to the Blind Pass Beach. Once again, almost no people.

Our plan had been to have a picnic at the beach and we’d sit in one of these areas which were sheltered from the sun by the trees. But of course there was no need today, plus if we’d gotten our lunch stuff out it’d have blown away. Here’s me, sussing out the situation.

Mom was again in the car, and I took a quick photo of the deserted beach before heading back to the

We went back to our place for lunch, and later, I decided I wanted to see if there was a visible sunset. I was pretty positive there wouldn’t be one because it was so cloudy, but I enjoyed being out on the beach yet again.

We were content to spend the evening in, enjoying dinner on the lanai and watching more “All Creatures Great and Small.”

It was a pretty laid back day, but I had many things I wanted to see on our final day in Florida.

Ok then,

Mrs. April Hughes.
