Hmm, as usual the month seems to be slipping away.

While I was trying to clean up the hot tub room at the beginning of the month, Les felt that the mos comfortable place to lie down was on top of this tub lid full of dirt.

We had more lilies of the valley than ever before blooming in front. I love them and wish they’d last a little longer.

This mix of plants that my family got me a couple of years ago had been over-wintering pretty well but once I put it outside, the fuschia went crazy. I love that flower, not quite as much as a bleeding heart, but it’s a close second, plus it keeps blooming through the summer.

It feels like we had a record crop of goslings in the yard this year but we probably always have this many. Here Kevin is feeling one of the four families. They love Kevin, at least as much as a goose can love a person, which means that they also hiss at him even when he’s giving them food. Just this morning there was a family with three little goslings, whereas most of the others, like those pictured here, have reached adolescence.

Moon, never gets old for me and I’ll never quit trying to capture how beautiful it looks. Maybe when I get a fancy new phone someday the moon will look bigger.

It’s been raining a good amount in May and I had to stop and take a shot of this little deer path through the woods that once upon a time had been maintained as a running course. That didn’t last so long, but I figure there will always be at least a skinny path because the deer like it. The last time I ventured along there the grass was almost up to my knees.

Spot, always posing so regally when we go for a walk. He hasn’t been able to go on so many lately because the yard is usually full of goose families. Hmm, I know that in the summer they don’t show up as often, but I wonder where they go off to?

It’s a bit chilly and brisk today, not so bad.

Ok then,

Mrs. Approaching the end of May Hughes.
