that’s how many times kevin watched “star wars” – IN THE MOVIE THEATERS (the very first movie)! He announced this amazing fact to me last night when we were watching it on a digitally remastered DVD that he got for christmas. randy gave him a box set of all three of the first movies, and kevin is very very happy with his gift. he just quoted a line from it for me. oops, then another one…i do think he could probably recite the whole thing.
the digitally remastered film looks really good. it was a lot of fun to watch. this is a good thing, and it’s also good that we have two more to watch because i hope to not go outside at all for a while – when i woke up this morning it was MINUS THREE. a wind chill of minus 19. the high today is supposed to be 14. and it looks like it’s going to be like this pretty much all week.
dad is being very cheerful. mom got him some darvocet for his pain, but he didn’t even take any of it till yesterday afternoon. i sat with him for a while while mom was gone, and then i vacuumed a little bit and i caught gizmo’s tail in the vacuum! luckily it wasn’t a real vacuum but a much lower-powered one. he was still very unhappy about it.
winnie is now climbing into the very small cat bed that we have put in front of the heat register. i imagine he’ll be there all day. cats are very smart creatures.
