OK, just a wee bit late for Christmas photos…but here’s a darling picture of Lester and Sweetie on December 16th, as I wanted to get a shot of them for the calendars and I had to hurry and get something. Luckily they were both on their tower.

I Took Spot for a walk on Dec 23rd and clearly the snow had gone and he was having a grand old time.

The Princess would surely get some kind of award for cutest Christmas kitty ever.

And Randy and I would get some kind of award for…craziest Christmas sweater thing. My friend Gena had bought me one of these sweaters and gave it to me a week or so early and it was hanging on the back of a dining room chair for at least a week or two. I’d tried it on and it looked kind of big but I figured that didn’t matter.

But then on Christmas day, Randy showed up in the same sweater, except it was extremely tight on him. He said it was a large but the tag on the back said small. So we switched, and I got the better end of the deal because Randy’s sweater had a present on it and the present was actually a pocket. Major score, plus now I wasn’t swimming in mine and Randy wasn’t about to burst the seams of his.

And the Christmas sweater was way too hot to actually wear inside, so I changed into this Grinch t-shirt which I’d lost in the bottom of my closet for most of the holiday season. A good time was had by all.

Dec 26, whew another Christmas accomplished, and Lovey was wary and hiding as usual…

Riley, always so happy to be outside. There’s been snow on the ground for a quite a while so he hasn’t been out so much, only darting outside and then zooming back in.

And finally, that wraps up 2025. Mom and I just got back from a week-long trip in Florida and somehow we’d been there at the perfect time because by the time we left, last Wednesday, the temperatures there had plummeted and when we left for the airport at 8:30 in the morning it was only 35 degrees. More on all that later.

Meawhile at least it got above freezing today because it’s been horribly horribly cold and at least spring surely must be right around the corner…

Ok then,

Mrs. trying to optimistic hughes.
