so on saturday, in addition to going to THE FARM!, we also went on a boat ride.
today, because i’m going to IGNORE ANY BIT OF WEAKNESS IN MY BODY, i give you some more photos. i don’t have a vitamin B12 deficiency, by the way, the doctor just informed me, which MAKES ME MAD. surely i have to be DEFICIENT IN SOMETHING THAT GIVES ME ENERGY. why must it be impossible to detect? amy says i need to go to a specialist, but what kind of specialist? the whole thing continues to be irritating and ridiculous.
maybe it’s kryptonite.
because it’s so early in the summer, there weren’t a lot of flowers blooming, but we did see quite a few geese with the oh-so-cute goslings.
max, garrick and janice’s lemon beagle, got to go on his very first boat ride and let me just say HE LOVED IT. almost the entire time he was either standing on garrick’s lap or standing on a seat, looking out at the water.
because the boat is no big deal for mollie, she just WANTED THE FOOD IN THE SACK. the bag from the head west sandwich shop was next to janice, so mollie kept batting at the bag and scraping on janice’s leg. I NEED FOOD, mollie was saying, WHO CARES ABOUT THE DAMN VIEW?
kevin did everything to get the boat ready this year. he’s a hard-working man!
more geese and goslings we saw.
i love weeping willows. this one was near the the little bit of lake you can see from the road that goes by the firefighters’ club.
i love this picture! in the background there with an orange beak is the REAL GOOSE – i don’t know what kind it is; it’s heftier than the other geese. i like that it’s nestled there near all the different statues.
max was in heaven. he looks like he’s been shaved because…he was shaved. they removed a bunch of…some kind of things…fatty growths? that might have been cancerous? but they weren’t. he looks like a frankenstein lemon beagle now.
mollie looked out at the damn view, but she was not happy about it because she JUST WANTED A SANDWICH.
garrick helped kevin dock, and the dogs helped garrick.
on sunday, our neighbors rich and bernice took kevin and me to the crowne plaza for brunch. yes, it is kind of funny that they took US there for mother’s day…but it was very delicious.
this old trio went from table to table, taking requests and playing. i love the guy in the middle’s face. they were a hoot.
you can’t tell here that i feel exhausted and kinda crappy and plus i’d gotten up and thrown on my clothes and a bunch of jewelry and straightened my hair so i wouldn’t look like a bag lady.
there were millions of people at the brunch, but we were sitting in the main dining room by the window; that’s why this photo is so washed out. people were also sitting out in the 2nd floor lobby, in the bar, and in a ballroom. i didn’t know that mother’s day is a HUGE eating event. i had quite a bit of things dunked in the chocolate fountain. for some reason when i was getting the chocolate-dipped delectables, it was just me and a bunch of kids. is chocolate not something that adults like? since when? i didn’t actually lean over and stick my face in the fountain, which i felt showed quite a bit of restraint on my part.
the doctor just called and i have to go get yet another blood sample. it’s really amazing, the number of things in your blood. it seems like almost an infinite amount. who found all that out, anyway?
ok then, have a good monday,
mrs. hughes.
