this morning i woke up and thought OH NO IT’S ALREADY DECEMBER 2ND, AND I HAVEN’T MADE A NEW BANNER YET! and then, of course, it took much longer to make the new banner than i thought it would.
there is a huge fly buzzing around in here right now. it is clearly a little confused. the other day i saw a mosquito in the bathroom and i thought WHY ARE YOU STILL ALIVE? and i tried to kill it but it flew away.
here’s randy’s retirement cake…HAPPY RETIREMENT, RANDY! he, of course, doesn’t realize yet the gloriousness of being retired…the sleeping in, the doing whatever you want…kevin has invited him to come over and make bullets in the basement, any time at all.
randy was very confused, at first, about the photo…”i don’t remember that picture,” he kept saying. i tried to explain I PHOTOSHOPPED A PICTURE OF YOU OVER A PHOTO OF THE REVENUE BUILDING…but he had a hard time wrapping his brain around that. i told him that clearly, CLEARLY, the retiring, even though it has literally just taken effect, had already warped his brain.
i bought a new bed for mollie, even though she has many of them, because a few are really old and worn out. i found a very furry one at Lowe’s, and it is now chester’s #1 favorite place…he keeps biting and pulling at it, while vigorously paddy-pawing all over it; i think he thinks of it as him mommy. it’s funny but also makes me a little sad, cause he was probably taken away from his mommy at a very early age.
i have approximately one million things to do today, and i think i’m going to start with HANGING SOME CHRISTMAS LIGHTS outside. i haven’t been in a christmasy mood at all, but it’s just so warm out that it would be a fun thing to do. i also have many computer-related missions, but it’s just too nice to be inside right now.
