AT LEAST IT’S NOT SNOW.
but i was thinking about running today, but not in the rain.
ok, here’s my photo for first night. perhaps it will be in a paper, as part of the first night advertising. but don’t expect to see it. but here it is.
i keep going out and buying stuff at about nine in the morning, because that’s when people are already at work, and not too many shoppers have ventured out yet. but yesterday morning i was in macy’s, in the shoe department, for no good reason except i need a pair of closed-toe black shoes that aren’t all crazy big slinky sandals that don’t ever seem appropriate for various things like a memorial service i went to a few months ago, and to the symphony the other night, and other things where i don’t want to tromp around in really tall sandals feeling a little sleazy. i found nothing, of course, because i was only drawn to MORE slinky sexy sandals, and i don’t need any more of them.
anyway, there was a woman sitting in the shoe department trying on boots. she was trying on a pair of extremely spiky-heeled black boots which looked extremely expensive/dangerous to walk in/sexy.
but here’s what she looked like – thin, wearing a dark sweater dress. with a big cross made of diamonds around her neck. she was somewhere in her 60’s, i’d guess. lots of makeup, and her blonde hair was piled on her head, and perched on the top of the mounds of hair was a big fur hat with a hat pin in it.
and then she took off the boots and put on her own shoes – they were VERY TALL black pumps with a band around the ankle and they made my sexy sandals look like the footwear of a nun.
she slithered into her big fur coat that matched her hat, and i finally had to leave because i felt i was being too obvious as i stared at her, spellbound by her appearance.
you just don’t see women like that here in spfld very often. and it was also the combination – extremely sexy shoes, giant fur coat, huge diamond cross. interesting.
me, i was going to go work out afterwards so i was wearing sweats, no makeup, hair in a ponytail, and looked almost like a bag lady. except i wasn’t carrying any bags.
i should really be doing something christmassy right now. or i should be saying my show to myself.
i really feel like taking a nap.
here’s a photo of the bay of Hanalei. perhaps barack obama is there right now, sipping a drink and contemplating his presidential bid. on one hand he should and almost certainly will run, and will win…but on the other hand, it sure would be nice for him to just spend his time hanging out there in hanalei.
but he’s not even there, he’s in honolulu, i believe.
ok ok ok,
grace
