ok, NO MORE CRAZY PHOTOS OF ME TODAY!  MUCH MORE IMPORTANT THINGS TO DO!

not so much, but still, i finally have some pictures that i’ve taken over the last few days.  some of them seem so old now because SPRING IS SPRINGING UP all over the place!

here’s a pretty sun-setting shot from last thursday.

and on saturday, there were clouds rolling in…

a2

but off in the distance was the sun.  by the time i was done taking pictures, the sun was fully out.

a3

i need to go out and take a new picture of this tree – here are all the buds, taken on SATURDAY.  this tree is now COMPLETELY COVERED WITH FLOWERS.

a4

in the words of doug from “up”…SQUIRREL.

a5

jim texted me on saturday to let me know there were a whole bunch of white pelicans out on the water.  see, i’m using my EDITORIAL RESTRAINT and only posting one of the many many photos i took.

a6

this is the duck couple that has been coming on up to the bird food smorgasbord on the deck.

a7

but nobody shows up when winnie sleeps there.  he’s SO CUTE!

a8

kevin took this picture on monday…see something there in the tree?

a9

they’re the DUCKS!  IN THE TREE!  why were they in the tree?

a10

kevin took this picture, too, of cute mollie.  when we were on vacation last summer, jim told us that he’d come over and find her sleeping on one of these chairs on the screened-in porch, but she rarely does this when we’re here.

a11

last night she started getting fairly hysterical and we looked out and there was mr. raccoon.  actually, this guy doesn’t look exactly like the other raccoon who had been hanging around.

mollie went outside and barked furiously for a good long time, until amy sent a text saying they were trying to sleep and the barking was VERY LOUD.

i was going to post these photos this morning but i went to flickr because i’m hoping there will be a quicker way to get photos on here using that.  that’s what jerri does on her site, and she has lots and lots of photos.  i e-mailed christine to get jerri’s correct e-mail to ask her how to do this, but i haven’t heard from her yet and this morning i thought WHY CAN’T I FIGURE THIS OUT FOR MYSELF?  and so i went to flickr and it said i had to set up this blog on flickr and it asked for my API ENDPOINT and it gave an example of how to do it and so i did this OVER AND OVER AGAIN, but it just wouldn’t work.  and then my computer decided it needed to update some important updates, blah blah blah, so it just took over for a while.

so i just posted the photos the only way i know how, which is to upload them into a folder and then select ones that i want, and open them in photoshop, and then i have go to through and individually shrink them all down and then rename them, and then i have to upload them here, one by one, and that step is the most tedious and the whole thing really should be quicker, don’t you think?  i know that when you upload a photo into flickr it automatically shrinks it down, so right there that would be a step i could skip.  plus i feel that if i ever figure out this API ENDPOINT conundrum, maybe i’ll be able to upload them here in a group instead of one by painstakingly one.

and blah blah blah with all the computer stuff.  later i’ll try to get kevin to help me figure it out.

ok, i hope your week has been going well..

wednesday hillbilly grace with almost full-strength energy again.
