swine flu swine flu swine flu. i haven’t been watching it on TV but i keep reading about it online and i feel over-saturated with it.
so let’s all stop the obsessive reading and take a break and do something fun. read some comics. play some music. eat some ice cream.
yesterday i threw out two very old containers of ice cream. one of them was sugar free and low fat, and i was alarmed that it didn’t just melt like you’d think it would. it retained its ice cream-like state for hours, and when i finally flushed it down the drain using very hot water, there was still a thick coating of ice cream on the container and it didn’t want to budge at all.
a few too many chemicals, is what i’m thinking.
this summer we’re going to make our own ice cream. we also planted some strawberries although the deer have already started eating all the leaves.
so we could become totally self-sufficient, living on ice cream and strawberries and not going anywhere and therefore missing the huge swine flu pandemic epidemic crises that’s about to ruin everybody’s summer.
you’re welcome to stop by anytime. as long as you’ve thoroughly washed your hands.
ok then,
monday night grace.

Hey about the Deer eating your garden ,last week I saw on TV if you lay human hair around your plants ,the deer will not come near it..Probably to much of a human scent..anyway your sister has a beauty salon so maybe you could get some and try it…it would be free..worth a try anyway..
hmm, that’s a great idea, joy. i do have a big pile of dog hair from trimming my parents’ dogs over the weekend (i thought maybe some birds would want it but so far they don’t) – i wonder if that would work?
well I think it is the human scent that keeps them away but you can try the dog hair…by the way your dogs look adorable in their raincoats
yeah, that makes sense about the hair – actually, i asked my sister and she has a bunch of it stored away to donate somewhere. i’m going to try it today! thanks about the dogs, they ARE very adorable!
