“grace, where are the photos of our trip to miami?” she did an excellent job of not nagging me about them, and i finally at least printed some of them out for her and they looked good so i decided i’d better post some of them right now.
the problem was, first, the death of honey. i didn’t feel like doing much of anything, especially computer-wise.
then, the susan boyle phenomenon. every time i did turn on the computer, i had to obsessively read all the stuff about her, so i didn’t get anything done on the computer.
finally, here are a few photos. this first one is the pool at the hotel. in the background there, in the midst of all the palm trees in the very back is a little sandy area with hammocks. in the front, you can see a little bit of table – that was the open-air restaurant where we had breakfast every morning.
it’s such a lovely place, but this is where there was that DJ convention going on the first night, and the place was totally trashed and filled with drunk dancing people who were all invading my personal space as i tried to push my way past them and out the back gate to the beach. the next morning the workers did a mighty job cleaning the place up. they did excellent work.

i love birds. i always want to take pictures of them. here are a couple.

this is part of a panorama shot i took in the early morning on monday, our first day there. it was cool because it was so quiet and deserted.

here’s the first panorama, which i realize is too large for the screen here, but i like it anyway. this was at the same time that first morning, before all the people arrived at the beach.

and here’s the another view. i don’t know why this one didn’t line up so well; maybe it’s because the sun was so different from the different angles.

this panorama was taken later in the day, when it was pretty crowded.
more later. pretty soon i have to get ready to go to a wedding. it feels very unnatural to me that i’m about to get all fancied up this early in the day. but it probably wouldn’t be appropriate to show up in my red flannel dog print jammies, even though i’m very very comfortable like this.
ok then,
saturday morning grace.

Grace,
Where are the pictures to be found of your trip to Miami Beach? I keep asking your Mom for a recent photo (to see how the fountain of youth is treating her. She said to go to GraceUncensored, which I have done, but find only some beach shots with neither her or her daughters in view. Her old buddy from SHS.
Stan
hi stan – well, if you’d continued looking, you’d have seen plenty of photos of mom, plus me and amy, too…on the very next post! look at the april 19th entry.
