a few photos of moving day for mom and dad, on monday, april 2nd.
such a HUGE truck!

one of the workers said the truck was only 1/4 full for their move. i guess they could have rented something smaller, maybe? but they were good and fast, these guys.

some of their chairs, sitting out on the front lawn.

i like it that the chairs are so carefully sealed with plastic.

i have pictures of the inside of their house, too, but i hope to get over there today or tomorrow and take some more photos, because it will be more dramatic to see the comparison between then and now. things are still in disarray a little bit over there, but they’re much, much better. moving is a lot of work.
meanwhile…a volunteer bleeding heart came up next to one i planted in the back yard, and it’s white! unfortunately the wind knocked the stem over, so i had to hold it up to take a picture. that seemed very unusual to me, it being white. of course, i didn’t even know of the existence of bleeding hearts til i saw a brooch of one in a catalog a few years ago, so i’m not the most informative horticulturist out there.

here’s one in the front. i just love those bleeding hearts; they’re so unusual and pretty.

here’s the giant bunny that randy gave me for easter, next to the bag of chocolates he gave dad. plus the easter pin i bought for myself.

i love this little pin but i ordered it right before easter so i only wore it the one day. next year i’ll start wearing it a month in advance. also, it’s very heavy so it really dragged down the light blouse i was wearing that day. i’ll have to put on a sweater or jacket with it and parade around. maybe i’ll get an easter hat to go with it.

kevin took this photo of the bottom of the screen porch door, trying to find replacement wheels. i thought it was a funny picture. not the kind of thing you’d usually see, the bottom of a door.

lester adores randy, and feverishly plays with him whenever he comes over.

les loves it when randy stirs him up, plus here was the added lure of the pair of socks. i wonder what people think when they come over and there are random pairs of socks lying all over the place.

the clematis are doing great this year.

i don’t think this one bloomed last year, and now here it is. i’ve never seen one with multiple layers like this.

i found this pair of shoes upstairs; i’d gotten then for fencing years ago, and now i’m wearing them for zumba. chester adores them.

because they’re so lightweight, he’s able to kick them all over the place. he stops to scratch in between the pushing and biting.

and that’s all for right now.
ok then,
mrs. thursday hughes, kind of caught up, at least picture-posting wise.

Grace- pin the pin through or around your bra strap!
