where your teeth fall out?  mom said she used to have the dream when she was younger; she’d be brushing her teeth and they’d all fall out.

but i still have the dream, and it’s not about brushing my teeth, it’s just about my teeth crumbling and falling out.

so yesterday mom and i were out to lunch and i ordered a damn salad because i was trying to be good for once, and i bit down on some lettuce and suddenly one of my teeth didn’t feel right, and was something sharp sticking out of the lettuce?

no, IT WAS MY TOOTH CRUMBLING.

a huge, HUGE piece of it broke off.  the tooth second from the back, on the bottom.

it was a horrible feeling.

it looks like a black hole in there; it’s a tooth with a cavity on top, and so the filling must have separated?  or probably it was just because my teeth are bad, very bad.

we then went shopping but i was too distracted and worried about my jagged tooth to think about shopping, and i went home and worried and called my dentist and on the message he said to call his other number if it was an emergency, but since it didn’t hurt, thank god, i decided it wasn’t an emergency so i shouldn’t call.

but then i started to think, well, what if food got down in there and would that cause some trouble and MY TOOTH IS REALLY JAGGED AND SHARP.

so i called him, and i’m glad i did because he was very soothing and reassuring and he said the only real worry is the jaggedness of the tooth, and i should get some sugar free gum and stick it over it for now, and he’d be able to get me in on monday.

luckily kevin chews gum, so i got some and stuck it on the toot and have been pretty much playing around with it most of the weekend.

it’s a great diet tool, because i’m certainly not gonna eat anything hard or crunchy, and it’s a pain to take the gum off to eat, plus when the gum isn’t there it scratches on my tongue.

so now i have that to look forward to tomorrow, at some point going to the dentist, hopefully early to get it over with, and it will definitely be unpleasant and painful and will involve a shot in my mouth.  but then, hopefully, it’ll be better.

unless it’s some big ordeal.  but i’m just hoping it won’t be.

and that’s my happy tale of my weekend.

plus, tomorrow is the last day of march and i’m pretty sure i’m not going to get all my pictures from february posted.  why did i take so many damn pictures in february?  because once i get the ones posted that i’ve already shrunk down in photoshop, there are still more photos still on my phone.

meanwhile, maybe spring will be here soon.

ok then,

mrs. sunday night hughes.
