when i woke up this morning it was snowing. big fat wet flakes, a lot of them, pouring from the sky.
i went back to sleep.
ok, yes, it was kind of pretty. when i got up there was a little bit of snow on the ground, but as the day progressed it got warmer and most of the snow melted. i didn’t have to go anywhere till this afternoon when we went to the abraham lincoln museum WHAT A FABULOUS PLACE IT IS and when we left it was kind of raining but it was really snow.
now it looks like freezing rain, plus there’s a ONE HUNDRED PERCENT CHANCE of snow tonight.
maybe more tomorrow.
it’s too early for all of this. i’m not mentally prepared. i feel like going back to bed and staying there for a few months.
to cheer myself up i started getting out christmas decorations. after doing that for a while i decided that was a crappy idea for trying to feel better because instead i felt that WHY DO WE HAVE SO MUCH STUFF IN THIS HOUSE? and DIDN’T WE JUST TAKE DOWN THE HALLOWEEN STUFF?
kevin is sitting in the other room in front of his computer, and either he needs some quiet time because the large amount of Smith Family Togetherness all weekend, or else he’s buying stuff online.
mollie is acting weird today. when i got up this morning she insisted upon lying in my lap. she’s not exactly a lap dog. she was there for about a half hour, and then she came back again after barking at something. right now she’s pressed up against my leg, and she’d be in my lap again if the computer wasn’t there. maybe she, too, has some depression because of the snow.
at least we’re not on the highway. tonight when going home we saw many many many cars out there on the highway. that would be the worst, a long drive home in lots of traffic.
ok then, i hope you had a lovely holiday and all of that.
sunday night grace.
