we saw a belly dancing performance on saturday night. it lasted for over two hours, which is a bit too long for the belly dancing, in my opinion.
my favorite part about the belly dancing was the costumes. I WANT A BELLY DANCING COSTUME. it would be great motivation to get FLAT ABS. i had flat abs one time for two weeks when i was 16.
it could happen again.
but the belly dancing costumes were SO DAZZLING. lots of beads and jangly things and sparkly stuff and i want one. some of them were a little more modest and covered the abdomen, so maybe i could get one of those.
the problem is, i don’t have any desire to belly dance. i guess i could get a costume and wear it for halloween. but that would only be one time. i have to think of an excuse for buying a belly dancing costume.
ok, that’s probably all for tonight although you never know,
gh

But belly dancers never have flat abs. Ever. It’s part of the whole thing to NOT have flat abs, right?
And two hours… jeez I can’t imagine staying interested more than 10 minutes or so. It’s fun to watch but gets old FAST.
flatter. at least abs that aren’t…very jiggly. and large.
I’m with you both on the two hour time thing, I’d probably have lost my mind in the jingling by then, but, wouldn’t housecleaning be actually FUN if done in a belly dancing costume?? Or any standard chore? Painting one’s dining room, perhaps? I don’t know, I’d probably stand straighter and have better posture while doing menial chores, if only I had the celebratory suit.
that’s an AWESOME idea, janet! except i don’t think wearing one while painting would be such a good idea. when we lived in LA, christine always used to tell me that i could wear whatever over the top fancy dress i had to the grocery store – i guess i could do that here, too, if i wanted to.
I would be willing to judge the belly-dancing-doing-house-chores outfit and it’s effect…
thanks for that. you’re a very kind man, mr. hughes.
