in between running around all day, including an unfortunate one and a half hours spent at the dentist getting two perfectly good teeth filed down in order to put in a bridge, i’ve been trying to upload the video i made of kevin trying to windsurf.
“but wait, Grace,” you’re saying to yourself, “i already watched that video!”
or at least thirty of you are saying that. the rest of you are saying “i really don’t have seven extra minutes to spare out of my very very busy and jam-packed day to watch the video even though grace did write that heartfelt plea for people to watch it and she claims it’s funny but i bet she’s lying.”
anyway…i realized after finishing the video that i’d left off the final shot. plus i wanted to add a title and and ending. so i added them, no problem. but then…
i uploaded the new video to you tube. it is seven minutes and 29 seconds. but on you tube, it only uploaded 5 minutes and 31 seconds. i did this a few times, and it just kept messing up, plus when i watched the video it was all out of sync, and actually speeded up in some places. this was kind of funny, but then when there was supposed to be a splash, there was some talking instead.
this was annoying.
so i re-made the movie on my editing software, and it looked fine…and then, like i said, all day long in between being all numbed up from the novacaine and giving massages and running with mollie and stuff, i kept trying to upload the video. over and over again.
now it won’t even upload at all.
i’m thinking that maybe there are better times than others to upload videos on you tube; maybe there are certain times of the day when 40 bajillion people are uploading their videos, and it gets all jammed up and backlogged and errors occur.
i’m getting a wee bit tired of trying to upload it.
i figure that later tonight i’ll give it one more try. if it doesn’t work, i’ll just put the old video up there, the one without the funny writing at the end.
like i said, obsessively compulsively obsessive. if you’ve already watched the video, all thirty of you, you probably won’t watch it again, if and when i ever fix the new one. and if you are among the many many people who haven’t watched it, i’ve now given up on trying to get you to do so.
have i mentioned how tired i was after all the really really high-pitched loud drilling of my teeth and the jamming up in my gums the things to make an impression and then more of the same because the first impression had a lousy bubble in it so they had to do it again?
instead of going home afterwards and relaxing, i felt it necessary to get to wal-mart to buy some groceries. then i went home to give a massage…
very tired now. i’m not sure if i’ll make it up till nine o’clock.
my friend thad wrote to me that having blogs and websites had a “brief moment in the sun,” but that nobody but nobody is bothering to read them anymore. all they do is facebook and twitter.
so that means this is just a journal, isn’t it, and not a blog or a website after all?
except i know that pam reads it. plus, of course, kevin. and wanda. i think mom skims it occasionally. and randy is always looking for a mention of his name. and bev also skims it to make sure i’m not saying ANYTHING BAD ABOUT SPAM IN RELATION to her, because you never know when i might go crazy and do just that, and there go all her chances of winning thousands of dollars in cash and prizes…and david reads it sometimes, and kevin’s mom reads it, and she has WATCHED THE WINDSURFING VIDEO. yea, nancee!
so it IS still my very own website, and even if i just have two or five readers, that’s ok with me.
just please, no drilling tomorrow.
ok then,
worn-out grace.

hey…maybe write a blog asking who actually reads your blog? You might be surprised. I love reading these though…I am able to keep up with you and what is going on in your amazing life!! 😉
yeah, you know what would happen if i posed that question? nobody would respond! besides you and a small handful of people…but i’m ok with that. whatever.
