isn’t there a game called mouse hunt? well, mollie is playing the real-life version, in our music room.
i’m sure honey brought the mouse into the house, but honey is now sleeping peacefully. she mostly enjoys carrying rodents and bunnies around. but now…
mollie is very determined to GET THAT MOUSE. hopefully she will, so it won’t be running rampant around the house.
is it only a matter of time before honey manages to drag a bunny into the house? now that will really be something.
i bought a pair of earth shoes today. remember earth shoes? i have a very vague memory of them, but i don’t believe i ever owned any. they slope downwards at the back, so that you don’t have back pain because you’re in better alignment. we shall see. maybe i’ll take them to VIVA LAS VEGAS with me and see if they withstand the huge amount of walking. i had no intention of buying any earth shoes; for some reason kevin has decided he wants a pair so we went to a shoe store but he couldn’t find any and i tried some on and i’m wearing them right now. they feel really good so far.
kevin was going to take me to bella milano last night for a b’day dinner, but we were too tired. instead we sat on the couch and ate (delicious) frozen pizza and watched a lot of episodes of “sex & the city.” it was a perfect birthday evening. everybody bought me the series for my birthday last year, and we now have five episodes to go. it’s hard to believe that it’s taken a full year to watch them.
and then we have to start watching “lost” in earnest, so amy doesn’t yell at us. not that she yells, but she’s very adamant about our deep need to watch it. mom is totally hooked and i think maybe she’s watched all of season one, but i think there are many many episodes, plus they’re all about 45 minutes long i think.
whew. tv-watching is kind of difficult when the weather is nice.
we went to bella milano for lunch today, instead, and had a glass of wine with our meals. very decadent.
the mouse hunt continues. i hear all kinds of thumping going on. there are a few bookcases in the music room, and i’m sure that mollie will start trying to dig right under them pretty soon if she doesn’t get the mouse. perhaps it can be the beginning of a basement? because we don’t have a basement, but why not just dig one?
ok then, i don’t know if friday night could get much more exciting than this,
grace.
