it’s going to be warm and beautiful and i’m going to spend my afternoon in traffic court…well, it should be interesting.  different.  my just desserts after being so happy about not having to do jury duty…

wayne took my laptop away yesterday.  even though i can walk the two feet into the office and work at kevin’s computer, it’s still very odd to not have my laptop.  i’m used to it being right there on the couch, enabling me to look up VERY IMPORTANT THINGS pretty much all the time.

he’s making it better – new memory and hard drive, a better windows – windows 7 – instead of that crappy Vista.  or he might just decide it’s better to get a whole new computer.

what would i do without people who know about this kind of stuff?

i was looking at the lincoln land course catalog that kevin got, flipping through it to see if there would be anything interesting to study.  the computer choices all seemed like those incomprehensible code kinds of things, programming, all that stuff that i don’t even want to know about.  i’d like to take a really good class in photoshop, but they didn’t seem to offer that.

christine, on the other hand, managed to learn all about all the computer stuff so that she has a very VERY fancy job building entire websites for HUGE fancy companies.  how did she do all this?  she learned it on her own.  christine’s brain is completely different from mine.  completely different.  many different components that i do not have anywhere, i’m quite sure.

i was hopeful this morning that maybe i’m ALL BETTER and i went outside and took some photos of signs of spring, and then i thought about all the stuff i want to accomplish, and i thought about walking with mollie to meet kevin coming home from class…but now i realize that all those hopes are dashed and i’m exhausted just sitting up instead of reclining.

damn.

i need to look up more details about AMOXICILLIN ALLERGIES to see if anybody says how long these incredibly INCREDIBLY annoying symptoms are going to last.  SPRING IS HERE and i will not tolerate spending it reclining.

anyway, here are some spring photos.  i believe these are hyacinths.

daffodils with…blue bells?  i don’t know, i’m just making that up.  actually they look like big hyacinths.

these flowers are peeping up in our front yard – well, it’s not so much yard, it’s just this little place in back of the big garage, and it’s filled with leaves and gumballs and i bagged up four bags of ’em but now i’ve had to put that on hold and there are probably at least four more bags’ worth there.  the whole place is very ugly, with lots of pieces of things lying around plus a too-g0od view of our neighbor’s junk in his yard.  we’re planning on planting some fast-growing tall bushes, plus we need to throw many, many things away.

and here’s the front of the house; kevin just re-installed the screen door which had blown off its hinges last year.  it’s nice that all that light can come in the hallway now, especially because the hallway is purple and absorbs quite a lot of light.

all of this needs to be cleaned up, too.

more daffodils in the back yard.

here’s the back of the big house they’re building across the little inlet.  the guys working could see me wandering around the yard in my red flannel jammies, but i decided i didn’t care.

m71

yet another project, the area in front of the dock.  we want to put down pea gravel and plant some flowers and some big grasses.

mollie is walking along what will be the border of the vegetable garden.  kevin started a bunch of little seeds a couple weeks ago and they’re starting to come up.

and the back of the house, with the yellow blooming bushes which i also thought were hyacinths but maybe they’re not.  note the pink water tube in the yard – lots and lots of stuff there needs to be thrown out.

m75

yes, there are approximately a million things to do outside.  MUST GET BETTER IMMEDIATELY.

ok, off i go to traffic court…

hillbilly grace who will probably see many of her kind there at the county building.
