I bet it’s the warmest February 26th we’ve had in a long time. A great day for Mom’s Covid birthday! We will celebrate with a family dinner tonight, but before that there will hopefully be much birthday merriment. No involving going into any places, of course.

Here’s one of my favorite travel photos of Mom when she went on a long European tour with a friend. She was along the Necker in Heidelberg. I’ll have to ask her how much she remembers about this. It looks like a lovely place.

A glamour shot on the beach in Nice.

And here she is in Linz, I believe, and on the slide it says she’s with somebody named Johann Emmerstorfer. I bet she remembers who he was…

It’s fun and tinged with a little melancholy to think of travel right now.

Last February mom and I watched the sunset on this fantastic little beach called Pass-A-Grille in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, right before everything fell apart.

Even though we won’t be basking in the warm setting sun this evening, we’re still all together and healthy, which is something to be very thankful for.

ok then,
