I don’t think dad actually reads this website, but i’m sure mom will tell him that i wished him a very happy birthday right here.

before it fades too far into the distance, here are a couple of photos from the wine and wine and more wine and dinner the other night. here’s mom and dad, looking very snazzy.

as i wrote previously, kevin felt the need to take photos of most of the food, but i just looked at the pictures and they look a little too…vivid…to put up here. kind of gross and too big. especially the crab cake, which looked kind of disgusting (but was actually quite delicious), and the ceviche, which was ok.

but here’s one of the many MANY photos he took of the infamous pastel de choclo. i don’t think it looks very good, and it wasn’t so great, either.

note the many many many wine glasses surrounding the pastel. they were all filled, and then re-filled.

tonight for dad’s birthday celebration we’re NOT having a hundred glasses of wine. instead we’re going to the red lobster, where we’ll be forced to eat mass quantities of food including cheesy biscuits which i’m vowing NOT TO HAVE even though i know this vow is utterly meaningless because i don’t know a mortal soul who can possibly resist the delicious red lobster cheesy biscuits.

all right then.

grace on thursday.

p.s. i’m mad because last night we forgot to go to baskin robbins where they had 31-cent ice cream cones. but the place was probably packed anyway. plus it’s slightly too chilly for ice cream.

not really. the dead of winter isn’t really too chilly for ice cream.
