that’s what i really missed at the crappy Tuscany non-buffet. i love french toast, although i rarely ever eat it anymore. when i was a kid and we’d gon on vacation, i’d always order french toast for breakfast and they’d bring out this GIGANTIC thing of french toast and i loved it.
i went power-shopping in saturday morning. well, i attempted to power shop, anyway. i had to give a massage at ten and they kept advertizing DAZZLING SPECIAL DEALS at famous-barr (now macy’s, i believe) and i need a new purse so i was in the store by ten after nine, buzzing around trying to find a good purse.
the sales weren’t quite as dazzling as they led me to believe, and i didn’t find anything i liked and i quickly realized that it was too early to make a decision about anything anyway. i did notice quite a few older couples walking around, mostly the women were ahead and the men were sort of shuffling behind, and they didn’t seem into it so much, the men.
one time MFH and i went to some sale before xmas and i think we were in bergner’s at seven in the morning. surely that can’t be right? i definitely remember that even though it was close to xmas, there weren’t many people there yet (BECAUSE THEY WERE ASLEEP) and it was kind of fun to make decisions about gifts even though i might as well have been asleep.
i’m taking the train to rockford this week, and i’m looking forward to it immensely. sleeping, reading, watching the world go by, it’s going to take hours and hours to get there and i’m quite happy about that.
ok, i have more things to do now before i can rest. i hope you survived monday.
may grace.
