that’s the sound of me, CHEWING UP THE SCENERY in the play.

if you aren’t familiar with the term, it means that the actor in question is a BIG HAM, OVER THE TOP, WAY OVER-ACTING.

not a compliment.

almost all the time they review plays around here, they list the people in the show, and they comment on the fact that there is a set, and they describe the storyline and maybe some history of the play.  the review of our play did that, but it also complimented two of our actors, susan and pat, who ARE fantastic!  as is everybody, and no, i’m not biased.

but then he singled me out with the chomping comment –  over-acting, bad bad badness.

not the best way to wake up this morning, i have to tell you.  oh well.  the show must go on.   after that slam at me, and then a not so nice comment about another character, the reviewer said something like “the play does have a little charm here and there,” or something to that effect.  so that will certainly help us bring in the big crowds.

at least there were more people in the audience last night than there were on stage.

here’s an especially beautiful picture of me and my sister cora and brother-in-law thor.

and our cast picture.

i’m going to go find things to gnaw on now.

ok then,

saturday morning grace.
