we just ordered the seats and the console and the bimini top for our pontoon boat this morning. they should arrive sometime this week, and who knows, by next week we might be on the water again!
here are more photos of miami…this is the front of our hotel.

and here’s mom, sitting out on the hotel’s front porch. we played poker out here for quite a while one night, and it was really fun.

this is one of the many very fancy houses we saw on our tour on a duck boat. it’s not a boat shaped like a duck, but rather an amphibious vehicle that went from land to water. i took lots of video as well as photos, so i was very busy during our tour.

the tour guide put this duck around mom’s neck for a photo op. at first he seemed like the most annoying person on the planet, but then we got used to him and he was kind of funny.

this was mom’s favorite house on the tour. you can see somebody outside washing the windows, which must be an arduous job. we actually saw a woman outside one house who might have actually owned it, as opposed to being a cleaning or gardening person. she was very thin and talking on a cell phone.

i like this photo because you can see Miami in the background, which is as close as we got to miami itself. which was fine with me.

there were many fancy boats moored here, but this one looked a little rundown. even worse than our pontoon boat used to look before the total rehab.

our last morning we took a walk along the boardwalk.

this is along the row of art deco hotels.

they shot some of the movie “the birdcage” at the Carlyle Hotel, and mom loves that movie. here she is in front of the hotel, which is being turned into condos.

we walked back to our hotel on the street in front, instead of by the water, and we could see the other side of the very fancy hotels.

here’s mom and amy in the lobby waiting for the cab to take us to the airport.

that is all for now.
ok then,
sunday grace.
