When I woke up on Monday morning at around 9:30, on our last full day in New York, I looked out the window to see what was happening down the avenue. There was a guy on the roof across the street. He didn't seem to be doing much. Loitering. Down below, traffic had resumed after being blocked all weekend. So many cabs in front of the Hilton over yonder. And then I realized the guy had been waiting for a window-washing gondola. Aha. I waited for them to start but they were actually finished with their job. Oh well.
