I haven’t had the mental fortitude to start looking through the many photos I took on our trip to Florida at the end of last month, so here are a few non-Florida pictures.
First, maybe I’ve mentioned that we’ve been worried about Lester for several months now because he’s lost weight; he has hyperthyoidism and we give him an ointment in his ear twice a day but so far he doesn’t look like he’s put on any weight.
But on January 13th we got a text from our neighbor two doors down; he’d spotted Les, who was walking along the dock of the people one house down from them. So he had quite a ramble, and the neighbor said that Les was chasing geese on their dock! So maybe he’s doing OK, even though he’s fifteen and skinny. He still has energy, that’s for sure.

Spot, out for a walk in January.

Mom came over one evening and Princess Leia crawled right into her lap! Historic; Leia barely sits on our laps, and has never ventured onto somebody else.

Another night, another historic moment – Riley plopped down on Kevin. We’ve had Riley for many years now but he’s never had any interest on lying on anybody. Maybe they’re all warming up to us?

And at the end of January, Riley started to make a habit of it.

Riley has really been expanding his horizons all over the place – I bought a few of these super plush beds at least a couple of years ago. Nobody has ever slept in any of them, except Riley occasionally paddy-pawed the top of this one. But last week he was suddenly curled right up inside! I put another of the beds on top of our bed and I’m sure that in a few years he’ll try it out. No need to rush into things.

And that’s about it for this cold but getting warmer every day February afternoon.
Ok then,
G.H.
