Ayatollah Khatami dismisses Obama’s anti-Iran claims
TEHRAN (IRNA) — Substitute Friday prayers leader of Tehran Ayatollah Ahmad Khatami here Friday dismissed recent “uncalculated” anti-Iran claims of the U.S.’ “nouveau de rich” President-Elect Barack Obama.
“It seems that the “nouveau de rich” has not identified Iran well.
One should make him know Iran properly. He (Obama) has recently claimed that Iran’s development of its nuclear arms are unacceptable; that its support for (the so-called) terrorist groups such as Hizbollah (of Lebanon) is unacceptable and that we should try to pile up economic pressures on Iran,” Khatami in his second sermon to this week’s Friday prayers congregation at Tehran University campus quoted Obama as claiming.
“He (Obama) has raised the carrot and stick policy. The claims are the claims of an immature person; a nouveau de rich person who has newly come on power and circles around a false universe and his dreams,” he added.
Nouveau de rich. gotta love those iranians.
speaking about false universes…i’ve added a new blog listing over there on the right; it’s the capitol fax blog. he has pretty much all the stuff about blago all the time, and he’s even going to be posting all weekend long because of the neverending latebreaking news.
blago’s chief of staff has resigned; is there actually a glimmer of hope that the governor might, also? i’ve been thinking that even if the pope and Bono and Oprah all told him to resign, he still wouldn’t. if he resigns, he’ll have no paycheck. but maybe he’s somehow figuring out that his being ousted is inevitable.
kudos for our attorney general lisa madigan for asking the IL supreme court to have him removed.
ok, ON A MEDICAL RESEARCH NOTE:
i’ve spent most of the week barely doing anything at all, hoping that i’d make this cold go away faster by plenty of rest and hot tea, chicken soup, etc.
i might as well have been exercising and running around the whole time, because i’ve still managed to acquire the Cough From Hell and am still not really feeling so hot.
i must nap now in order to have the strength to go to an xmas party tonight.
