and instead of giving massages or helping mom and dad with their endless travail of moving, i’ve been painting.

here is the first watercolor i’ve done that i don’t hate.

but then i was looking online at different watercolors, and that was kind of demoralizing, because i know i have so much to learn…but then again, this was only the third time i’ve actually done the painting, so i’m trying not to be too hard on myself.

monday, mom and dad moved, and when i took mollie running through the field i could see the giant moving semi in front of their old house. the guys on the truck said their stuff only filled a quarter of the truck, but there seems to be a whole lot of stuff everywhere there now.

while they moved we babysat shortie and gizmo. i gave them both baths and trimmed them, and they were enjoying the back yard but then shortie was quite desperate to get inside. he spent the rest of the day here by kevin’s side of the bed.

""

lester was a very good babysitter for gizmo…they both spent the day stretched out in the back. gizmo is very old now and not in great shape and has a hard time getting around, but he did seem to enjoy standing around in the yard for long periods of time.

""

chester has been particularly photogenic lately.

""

sprawling around is one of his favorite things. that, and battling with winnie in the middle of the night.

""

amy sent me this photo; my question is, why didn’t the checker smile, if she was willing for amy to take her picture? unless she didn’t know she was doing it, but how could she not know? mom said she saw a car with bunny ears the other day, which is think is funny and i’d get if i had the time and motivation.

""

garrick sent me this photo. his daugher alex took it, and he took a picture of her but i’m not posting it cause it’s way too blurry. quite a hat, but i bet he didn’t actually buy it.

""

my friend pam just e-mailed me to say THE BLOG IS DOWN, and i checked and it wasn’t there, but then it was but i couldn’t post anything, but now it’s ok, except for that rss feed error thing which someday i will find somebody who will be able to fix.

until then, i paint.

ok then,
