<\/p>\nsince we\u2019ve been home i\u2019ve felt a little more…sane…since before we went to NYC. and tonight i assured kevin that i\u2019d be going to sleep at a more reasonable hour, i wouldn\u2019t feel the need to stay up late after we went to work.<\/p>\n
it\u2019s now 12:53. so never mind about that.<\/p>\n
first of all, gloria ESTEFAN. randy found it extremely funny that i spelled her name SO WRONG. <\/p>\n
secondly – i don\u2019t even feel like sitting here at all. except i just watched a show on the travel channel about the Queen Mary 2, and someday i want to travel across the ocean on it. in a cabin with a balcony.<\/p>\n
not right away or anything, but someday. i can\u2019t pinpoint exactly why i\u2019ve always thought it would be great to travel to europe on an ocean liner, but i just would. right now i found an outside cabin with a balcony for about $3,600 for two people. that\u2019s not THAT outrageous. it takes six nights. ok, it\u2019s slightly expensive, i guess.<\/p>\n
not right away.<\/p>\n
i have a lot to write about new york, and of course there are the ongoing photos from hawaii, but right now i need to write about our animals. the cats stayed with mom and dad and had a lovely time with them, and mollie also had a good time at amy and jim\u2019s house.<\/p>\n
but this afternoon mollie was here at home lying on the couch, and suddenly honey, the little kitty, jumped up on the couch and looked her in the eye, and then hissed at her, and hissed again, and swiped at her. for no reason at all.<\/p>\n
why must she be so mean? <\/p>\n
but then tonight i decided that maybe she\u2019s mean because winnie is so mean to her. tonight she jumped up on the chair where winston was sleeping, and she laid down near him and tried to sleep. but winnie started growling and trying to push honey off the chair with his back legs. for no reason. <\/p>\n
later, same situation, winnine sleeping, honey jumped up – she laid down and closed her eyes, and pretty soon winnie reached over and growled, biting honey in the back of the head. he continue to do this for quite a while and honey tried to ignore him but clearly it was unpleasant for her, so she finally had to hiss and they fought for a while.<\/p>\n
and so now i think i feel bad for honey; she\u2019s just lashing out at poor mollie because of the continuing harassment from winnie.<\/p>\n
therapy, they all need animal therapy.<\/p>\n
tonight we watched sarah silverman\u2019s movie “jesus is magic;” it\u2019s basically her standup act, and it\u2019s very dirty and funny but also kind of disturbing. but in a less mean-spirited way than borat. <\/p>\n
and by the way, the dirty comment that i wrote about in my last post, about what is served on thanksgiving, that\u2019s what LES PAUL, the famous, 91 year-old jazz guitarist, said, not me.<\/p>\n
ok, here are a few photos of new york. this first one is right inside macy\u2019s on the monday before thanksgiving. it was so crowded; i don\u2019t want to think about what it must have been like the day after turkey day.<\/p>\n

and here\u2019s the only photo of the two of us during the trip, the only proof that we were both together. that\u2019s the brooklyn bridge in the background, it\u2019s the day after thanksgiving and right after that we walked across the bridge.<\/p>\n
