the cat and the fiddle, the cow jumped over the moon;<\/p>\n

the little dog laughed to see such a sport,<\/p>\n

and the cat ran away with my eyeliner.<\/p>\n

after an exhaustive and ultimately fruitless search for the eyeliner, that rhyme popped into my head.\u00a0 that’s really all i can do about it now.<\/p>\n

this morning i was standing at the sink getting ready for the day as lester padded all around on the counter, sniffing at things.\u00a0 at one point he knocked the eyeliner into the other sink, but i wasn’t ready for it anyway.<\/p>\n

but when i went to get it, it wasn’t anywhere.\u00a0 lester had already jumped down,\u00a0 and i realized i’d heard him batting something around in another room.\u00a0 clearly, the eyeliner was his new toy, until he pushed it way under something.<\/p>\n

i looked underneath things, revolting myself by the great quantities of dust which seemed to be all over the place, and then i gave up.<\/p>\n

here he is last night, which of course shows why you can’t get made at him, ever.<\/p>\n

i’m sure that it’ll turn up after i go buy another one.<\/p>\n

meanwhile…saturday night we got dressed up and went out, always a noteworthy occurrence around here because it’s very rare that i’m actually out of my sweats or jammies.<\/p>\n

i had kevin take this picture of me to send to randy; he gave me that big ring i’m wearing, and i usually don’t wear it because it’s way too big for any finger, so i wrapped a big hunk of scotch tape around it.\u00a0 it looks kind of horrible if i turn my hand over.<\/p>\n

i told randy this, and he keeps saying “put some angora around it,” as though i had a drawer full of angora around here.<\/p>\n

we went to the Lime Street to have a delicious dinner and listen to garrick’s friend angel brown singing.\u00a0 she had a guest, one of the trombone players from the Lawrence Welk Show.\u00a0 his name is Bob Havens, he’s from Quincy, IL, and i don’t know why or when he moved back to Quincy, but i’m glad he made the trip to Spfld, because he was awesome.<\/p>\n
