whew.\u00a0 no raccoons at all today; instead, i thoroughly cleaned the screened porch.\u00a0 let me just say this – i never knew what raccoon pee smelled like.\u00a0 I WILL NOW REMEMBER IT FOREVER.\u00a0 IT IS A VERY VERY BAD SMELL.<\/p>\n

this is the picture i took with my phone friday afternoon, after i’d finished planting all the flowers and grasses.\u00a0 WHEW, i was tired.<\/p>\n

well, at least you can tell it’s a lot of flowers and plants, but not so great; i guess i need to use my actual camera.\u00a0 of course i felt so proud of myself, planting 21 things in two days, but last night a friend of mine told me about people she knows who had a HUNDRED day lilies in their yard.\u00a0 they moved, and the woman dug up and transplanted 70 of them.\u00a0 this blows my mind a little bit.\u00a0 i mean, digging the holes and planting the plants is a lot of work, but TRANSPLANTING would me that much more trouble.\u00a0 whew.<\/p>\n

i took this with my phone BEFORE SEVEN on saturday morning.\u00a0 gee, that was just yesterday; it feels like a million years ago.<\/p>\n

mom helping me water amy’s FIVE MILLION PLANTS yesterday morning.\u00a0 mom just threw on some ratty clothes to help me give les paul his medicine, but she stayed to help water, then we went on a great boat ride.<\/p>\n

there are boats on the water today even though it is JUST SO HOT.\u00a0 i’m sitting here in the air conditioning now.<\/p>\n

here are a few photos of les paul, before declawing.\u00a0 well, this first one is he and mollie, both very very tired.<\/p>\n

i kept him in the bedroom and hot tub room til this afternoon.\u00a0 right now he’s sleeping up on the guest bed.\u00a0 he’s not going too crazy, and he continues to kind of creep around in a VERY VERY SAD WAY that makes me feel very guilty for not getting the less-painful laser surgery.\u00a0 but all of a sudden when i got out some cat food he LEAPT up onto the counter.\u00a0 i had to feed him up there, and then i gently set him on the floor.<\/p>\n

when i wasn’t looking he LEAPT down off the back of the couch and then he was limping even worse.\u00a0 this is why amy said MAKE HIM STAY IN THE HOT TUB ROOM.\u00a0 but i think he’ll be fine.<\/p>\n

kevin gets home soon, i think.\u00a0 he sent me this photo of the ribbons he won.\u00a0 we need to get some kind of big medal\/ribbon case or something because right now they’re all kind of arranged on top of the victrola, but there are just so many of them…<\/p>\n
