i really can\u2019t believe it\u2019s been a week. i\u2019m sure that if i had the time to check the statistics of the site, i have about one person still checking to see if i\u2019m EVER GOING TO WRITE AGAIN.<\/p>\n
my cat, winston, just crawled up onto the chair behind me and he\u2019s purring like crazy but there\u2019s not really room here for the both of us and i think he\u2019s trying to shove me out. he may just do it. he\u2019s very dedicated to whatever it is he may want to do.<\/p>\n
so, where have i been? mostly cleaning and stuff, at amy and jim\u2019s, because they PUT THE HOUSE ON THE MARKET YESTERDAY.<\/p>\n
thank god, that\u2019s all i have to say about that. their place is eerily clean now, and there\u2019s NO CLUTTER ANYWHERE. which does not seem normal. mom says it looks like a house you\u2019d see in a magazine ad. it is. <\/p>\n
i did take a break and see REUNION at the lincoln museum; it\u2019s the first play they\u2019ve done there and it was really really good. it\u2019s a musical, all about the civil war era, with lots of songs nobody has ever heard of, and a really small cast, only six people. it\u2019s a great place for a show because the seats are really comfortable and there\u2019s plenty of leg room, and they projected stuff on the side walls and it was really, really entertaining. i knew some of the people in it, including ed mcmurdo, who i saw at walgreens last week or maybe the week before and he looked really, really tired, and now i know why. also dennis rendleman is in the show; i was in “evita” with him about a million years ago and he\u2019s very entertaining. and this woman named brittany is in it; she was in “jekyll & hyde,” which was about the best production of anything i\u2019ve seen anywhere. she was quite good in this, but i wish she\u2019d dye her hair blonde again. blondes have more fun, brittany.<\/p>\n
i, personally, have had MUCH more fun after finally giving up the red hair. MUCH.<\/p>\n
winston was perched on the back of the chair for a while and i marvelled at his nimbleness, but now he\u2019s on the desk, still purring, i guess he\u2019s just happy to be here with me, but i think he thinks it\u2019s time to go to sleep.<\/p>\n
“reunion” is this weekend, too, so if you haven\u2019t gotten tickets yet you need to do that ASAP.<\/p>\n
i, personally, am going to be in chicago seeing “wicked.” this will be the third time. i\u2019m looking forward to it, or i would look forward to it if i had time to think about it.<\/p>\n
this week and next i\u2019m giving many many chair massages to nurses at the hospital, because i think it\u2019s nurses\u2019 week. yesterday it was 3:30 p.m. – nine, tomorrow i go until 10, or till my arms snap right off my shoulders, whichever comes first.<\/p>\n
today i saw these two guys dressed as Quizno\u2019s cups. Quizno\u2019s is a sandwich place, and the guys were standing on the corner waving at cars as they passed. i was kind of mesmerized by them, and wondered how that would look on their resumes. “cup.” if they wanted to pad the resumes, they might put “large cup. with straw.”<\/p>\n
i\u2019m glad i don\u2019t have to be a cup.<\/p>\n
i bet it doesn\u2019t pay very well.<\/p>\n
and i bet they get no benefits at all.<\/p>\n
i don\u2019t have any benefits either, but at least i never have to dress in a great big cup costume.<\/p>\n
i think that\u2019s about all for tonight. i PROMISE i\u2019ll never desert you for an ENTIRE WEEK again, my one lone and dedicated reader.<\/p>\n
