<\/p>\ni know you’ve been clicking here obsessively, hoping to see pictures of kevin’s big birthday celebration.\u00a0 there are some photos, plus a video, but i only have time for the very first one right now.<\/p>\n
we started the evening at la fiesta, where the guys brought kevin a big sombrero and sang him a very loud and enthusiastic, although not very melodious, birthday song.\u00a0 lots of clapping was involved, and then he got a big sopapilla drizzled with chocolate and cream stuff and it was very delicious.<\/p>\n
the guy in the middle looks like he might be crying – he must have been so overcome with emotion at celebrating kevin’s birthday that he just broke down.<\/p>\n

first, though, i do have to say that i gave kevin a gift early in the day.\u00a0 it’s the computer game called YOU DON’T KNOW JACK.\u00a0 i got him YDKJ volume 3, and was worried because it said it worked on windows 95.\u00a0 REALLY old.\u00a0 i played the game in LA and i remembered it being very very funny and fun.<\/p>\n
sure enough, it wouldn’t work on my computer which has windows 7, but it would run on kevin’s windows XP.\u00a0 i then quickly looked up YOU DON’T KNOW JACK WINDOWS 7 online and found some site where somebody had that problem, and somebody else wrote that you had to load the program on an XP and then copy some folder to some folder in Windows 7 and it would work.\u00a0 the directions were slightly vague, with a few steps missing, but we figured it out AND THEN IT WORKED ON MY COMPUTER!<\/p>\n
so we spent a lot of time playing it yesterday.\u00a0 amy came over a few times to use the copier and the scanner and she commented that we spent the entire day on the couch.\u00a0 this isn’t true, though – we did take time out to go get kevin’s free ice cream cone at baskin robbins!<\/p>\n
it was a very, very busy birthday.<\/p>\n
