so, THE ABRAHAM LINCOLN PRESIDENTIAL MUSEUM. <\/p>\n
WHY HAVEN\u2019T YOU BEEN THERE YET?<\/p>\n
IT IS FABULOUS.<\/p>\n
we got there, and first of all i got a discount because i\u2019m a student. and then when we got into the main hall, there was my friend phil f., KING OF THE MUSEUM.<\/p>\n
if i knew his real actual title, i\u2019d write that down. well, i guess i would. KING OF THE MUSEUM sounds so good, though, doesn\u2019t it? he might as well be K of the M.<\/p>\n
He sat with us as we watched the BEST thing there at the museum in my opinion, the “ghost of the library” show. i\u2019m not sure if this is the actual official title, but it\u2019s surely close. P. (Performer Man) was performing the show, and it was great to see it again. i haven\u2019t been to the museum since last march, and i don\u2019t know why it\u2019s taken me so long to get back.<\/p>\n
after the show we got to GO UP ON THE STAGE. this was quite exciting, except that P. said “don\u2019t bump into that light.” this is exactly like randy handing me his VERY VERY EXPENSIVE AND FANCY XMAS ORNAMENT and saying “be careful with this because it\u2019s very expensive and fancy,” and i proceeded to drop it and SMASH IT INTO SMITHEREENS. <\/p>\n
i didn\u2019t actually smash anything on the stage in the library (i wonder if they\u2019d have thrown me out of the museum then and there if i did?) but i did manage to bump a light. but they didn\u2019t yell at me. not too much.<\/p>\n
we got to see all the backstage behind the scenes area there in back of the show, which included a “green room” that was actually blue, and a room for snacks where there were actually LOTS OF SNACKS sitting around. so that the various ghosts don\u2019t faint from hunger. it can be pretty tiring and exhausting being a ghost, what with all the vaporizing and stuff.<\/p>\n
after that we went all around to the other FABULOUS THINGS in the museum. they were just as great as they were the first time, and it\u2019s really moving and stirring to read the stuff about the soldiers, and to watch the timeline of war on a big map and i love that museum.<\/p>\n
christine is sitting around here in my living room right now, and she\u2019s drinking a cup of hot water. <\/p>\n
yeah, i go to great pains to treat my guests right. i spare no expense.<\/p>\n
i told her she could put a tea bag in the hot water, but she demurred.<\/p>\n
we\u2019re going to go to the MCL cafeteria with mom and dad pretty soon. why? because we\u2019re VERY VERY EXCITING here in spfld illinois.<\/p>\n
and then we\u2019re going to randy\u2019s and i\u2019m going to do the show for christine, who will be a fabulous and willing audience member, and randy\u2019s neighbors might come over to watch, too, which would be great, the more the merrier.<\/p>\n
and then, probably, we\u2019ll be forced to play a little boggle so christine can totally beat randy at it, even though he thinks he\u2019s going to beat her.<\/p>\n
friday night, and things are hoppin\u2019.<\/p>\n
