she hasn’t minded the fireworks in the past.

we waited on the lake, and waited. it rained a little more, but it wasn’t so bad. finally, after a half hour or so, they started. they were lovely, of course, but mollie started shaking and was really scared the whole time. this morning she’s sleeping here on the floor and seems to have recovered, or maybe she forgot the whole thing.

there were other fireworks going off, including a very large display that somebody on the lake was obviously shooting off from their yard. they must be very, very rich, because they had quite a few really big fireworks. plus wouldn’t you have to have a permit to shoot off something that big?

we sailed home, i tried to foist off as much dessert as possible one people, and kevin and i sat around a while, watching the 4th of july celebration in DC on the tv.

not a bad fourth. my house is still sparkling clean, and my only plan for the day is to do NOTHING.

and to try to not eat any cake. it’s almost 10 already and i haven’t had any so far…

ok then,

monday morning grace.

last year i had people over for holiday festivities and it rained all the livelong day. we sat around in the screened porch and watched the rain, went down to look at the waterlogged boat, and finally drove over to the DAV to watch the fireworks. it was so rainy and the clouds were hanging […]

"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paywalled_content":false
_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false
[1

post-4367","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-uncategorized
["GET
