i have a power problem.<\/p>\n
power cord, that is. <\/p>\n
a while ago i thought my computer power cord was bad, so i bought a new cord.<\/p>\n
it\u2019s not the cord. it\u2019s something in the computer, the connection to the power cord. i know how it got messed up; i always hold the computer in my lap (that\u2019s where it is right now), and when i\u2019m sitting in bed with the computer on my lap the cord is at an angle, and i know this somehow screwed it up. <\/p>\n
so i\u2019ve been keeping it from breaking by jiggling the cord sometimes if the little battery icon suddenly appears and the computer thinks it\u2019s not really connected to the power cord.<\/p>\n
but just now i jiggled the cord and nothing happened. and then the screen went black.<\/p>\n
bad.<\/p>\n
baaaadddddd….<\/p>\n
just in time for xmas.<\/p>\n
i unplugged and re-plugged the cord a few times and turned the computer back on and now i\u2019m trying to sit her very gently, very delicately, so i won\u2019t disturb the delicate balance.<\/p>\n
my computer CANNOT BREAK.<\/p>\n
two more days till xmas. my shopping is complete. my wrapping has not yet begun, and i lost my decent pair of scissors a few months ago and all i can find is my crappy pair of scissors that cuts the wrapping paper very jaggedy. i would go buy a new pair of scissors just like i bought a new and much better stapler than my old stapler which i lost (but then found of course after buying a new one), but i CANNOT BEAR the thought of going to another store of any kind.<\/p>\n
but gee whiz, it\u2019s just SCISSORS, i could get a pair of scissors at a drug store, couldn\u2019t it? and since there are two of them just up the street, conveniently located right across from each other, well then there\u2019s no reason not to do that.<\/p>\n
tomorrow.<\/p>\n
bows, too, i need some bows.<\/p>\n
i used to love spending lots and lots of times on packages, lots of curling ribbon and bows and trying to make them creative and fun.<\/p>\n
but now i just want to get them wrapped.<\/p>\n
gift bags, i could get some gift bags. but that seems a little too lazy.<\/p>\n
enough already.<\/p>\n
