last night while running to nowhere on the treadmill at the fit club, i watched that show with jim belushi in it. i know it\u2019s not “my name is jim,” that\u2019s “my name is earl,” the funny one that i forget to watch. <\/p>\n
i can\u2019t remember the exact name of the jim belushi show, but it\u2019s SO INCREDIBLY DUMB.<\/p>\n
i\u2019m sorry if you like it. i\u2019m sorry because IT\u2019S HORRIBLE.<\/p>\n
he has a very hot wife. she used to be on ally mcbeal. courtney thorne-smith? i think so. she seemed drunk during the whole show. she was drinking eggnog with lots of brandy in it in some of the scenes, but she seemed drunk the whole time. maybe she needed alcohol in order to not be embarrassed at having to utter such moronic lines.<\/p>\n
but on the other hand, she\u2019s probably happy as a lark doing it, because she gets buckets and buckets of money.<\/p>\n
i still don\u2019t understand why there are these shows with schlubby men with hot wives. is it because there are many big rotund men out there watching, and their ultimate fantasy is to have a hot hot wife?<\/p>\n
so very dumb.<\/p>\n
the characters spent so much time YELLING AT EACH OTHER. it was as if they were really children, but they just looked like adults.<\/p>\n
maybe this is to appeal to the children watching? their ultimate fantasy that adults would act more like children?<\/p>\n
all i know is that much more entertaining than this was the target commercial, which was running approximately every five seconds on the tv next to the one i was watching. i described the target commercial to randy, but he apparently hasn\u2019t seen it, which i find very odd because he watches plenty of shows. in the target commercial there are lavish costumes and lots of singing and dancing; there\u2019s a big number that\u2019s an ad for hershey\u2019s, with sparkly silver costumes, and then a big dance number with people who have crackers on their heads. big crackers, that are like hats, with garnishes like giant shrimp on the very top. they\u2019re either wheat thins or triscuits, i think. i kept saying to randy, “the people are dancing around with WHEAT THINS on their heads, DON\u2019T YOU REMEMBER?” and he said “it doesn\u2019t matter how many times you tell me that people were dancing around with crackers on their heads, i know i didn\u2019t see it.”<\/p>\n
it\u2019s the best thing on tv right now. or at least last night between seven and seven thirty.<\/p>\n
apathy. setting in. a kind of blah day.<\/p>\n
