here i am in a big huge house. earlier today a child was visiting, and there are two children living here, and it was very very busy. and loud. lots of activity. i understand why children need so much sleep; it\u2019s because when they\u2019re awake, they\u2019re bouncing off the walls. whew. it\u2019s exhausting just watching them. <\/p>\n
it\u2019s fairly quiet now. the adorable dachsund puppy is sleeping. the only noise is coming from the gigantic TV. GIGANTIC tv. <\/p>\n
there is a big big bowl of halloween candy here. i\u2019m trying not to eat all of it. i\u2019m trying to just eat one piece every once in a while, hoping that nobody notices how the candy level is dropping dramatically. maybe i\u2019ll be able to find a store in which to buy candy tomorrow, and i can fill it up again.<\/p>\n
we did go to the grocery store today. when people ask me what i did in denver, i\u2019ll tell them that i went to the store, and i napped.<\/p>\n
no, i\u2019ve decided that i\u2019m going to say that i went skiing. and i was great. really great. i mean, why not just start lying? it\u2019s not too late in life to start lying, is it? i\u2019ll just go around acting like things are all much, much better than they really are, i\u2019ll pretend that i\u2019m GREAT at stuff like skiing. <\/p>\n
not that things are bad. but i do not want to ski. but who will know? they won\u2019t know. “oh yes,” i\u2019ll say, “i skiied a LOT. it was AWESOME. and i looked so CUTE in my skiing outfit, just like a snow bunny.” <\/p>\n
this will also feed people\u2019s desire to live vicariously through me. because if i just tell them i went to target, and to safeway, that\u2019s not quite as exciting.<\/p>\n
unless you really like to shop.<\/p>\n
the safeway was very fancy, by the way. hardwood floors. i mean, COME ON HERE, do you really need hardwood floors in the safeway?<\/p>\n
i have to go to the airport now.<\/p>\n
